Tifané Williams, a native of New York City, has been performing since the age of three.
Starting at the Dance Theatre of Harlem, then moving on to The School of American Ballet at Lincoln Center, followed by the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre. Her foray into musical theatre came with significant performances of Bye Bye Birdie, the opera Carmina Burana (Alfred University, B.A. Communication Studies, Journalism/English) and Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream at the Acting Workshop, W.I.
The long shot and close-up of Tifané’s worldview speaks to her desire to create and demonstrate beauty, truth and caring in life. Having always been passionate about helping those less fortunate, Tifané has worked with a variety of service and non-profit organizations, including volunteering at soup kitchens, The Food Bank for NYC, City Harvest, and more recently focusing on the well-being of children. This has led to her support as a dance instructor for Figure Skating in Harlem, an after-school program that in addition to ice-skating instruction provides tutorial help to young, inner city girls.
